Lemont Public library joined with several area libraries to form a new library system, Pinnacle Library Cooperative in 2012. The libraries currently have combined holdings of 1.3 million items. The cooperative members are:

• Fountaindale Public Library District (Bolingbrook)
• Joliet Public Library
• Lemont Public Library District
• Plainfield Public Library District
• Shorewood-Troy Public Library District
• White Oak Library District (with locations in Crest Hill, Lockport & Romeoville)

The Library Board of Trustees entered into an intergovernmental agreement to form Pinnacle Library Cooperative as a proactive measure to ensure the continued availability of library resources for our taxpayers. Working collaboratively, our libraries will enjoy greater efficiency in the delivery of materials, more equitable resource sharing, and timely, responsive decision making at the local library level.

The Pinnacle Cooperative Libraries share materials through our online catalog. Patrons of any of the Pinnacle libraries may borrow materials and use resources at any member library.
