The Friends are Lemont residents
who believe that the Lemont Public Library is
a wonderful community resource.
The Friends believe in the value
of books and reading for all people of all ages.
The Friends believe that the
library is a book and information center.
The Friends believe that the
library should be the place where the public has
access to books, periodicals, computers, videos,
DVD's, CD's, art and more.
The Friends believe that although
the Library receives tax dollars, there are programs
and projects that could be added and supplemented
with financial help from the Friends
What
We Stand For
Our Mission is
to further an enthusiastic partnership between
the Lemont Library and the Lemont Community.
Our Purpose is to focus public
attention in a positive manner on library services,
facilities and needs, to help promote the use
and enjoyment of the library, to develop supplemental
funding for the library and to actively support
the library.

The Friends donated $1,000 for the Portable Heart Defibulator housed at the Library.
They sponsor a yearly $500 scholarship to a High School Senior living in Lemont.
